Revlon Lip Butter Review

Hello! Today i am doing a blog post about revlon lip butters! Well you've probably guessed by the title of the blog post but oh well im telling you anyway! They have recently just come over to the UK, i believe it was 12th March however i could be wrong, so i have just recently got my hands on them.(Yay!) I have actually got 3 out of 14 (the ones that are available in the UK), if you don't know where to get them in the UK (you probably should know if you live in the UK) you can get them in Boot and Superdrug. At the moment Boots are doing their special 3 for 2 which means by 2 products get the cheapest free! This means if you were to buy 3 revlon lip butters at the current time then you would save £7.99 and would cost £15.98 instead of £23.97. They have this offer for skincare and makeup i think. So im just going to get started with the review.

Firstly, Revlon lip butters are currently priced at £7.99 each at both Superdrug and Boots, which personally for a 'high street' or'drugstore' brand is an average price. The first colour i purchased were Lollipop and Sweet Tart. Then later that week i purchased the Revlon Lip Butter in Cotton Candy.

Cotton Candy (Left), Sweet Tart (Center) and Lollipop (Right)

As you can see in the picture above you can see the packaging of the product. I know your not meant to judge a book by its cover however packaging can be an important factor of a product. I say this because if a products packaging is 'plain' and 'boring' then your less likely to notice it and less likely to pick it up and buy it. Furthermore the quality of the packaging is important as well because if you are travelling you wouldn't want it to break and it would be a waste of money. So i find the packaging of this product is aesthically pleasing however it is also sturdy and practical. I love how the cap of the lip butter gives an accurate impression of what the colour of the product is. Also the top of the cap is clear so you can see  through to the product and see the true colour however i feel that it does cheapen the look of the product but it would not change my views on the product itself. Here is the swatches of all three colours:

Lollipop (Top), Sweet Tart (Middle) and Cotton Candy (Bottom)
Lollipop is a Vibrant Hot pink colour which has a blue iridescent sheen. The lip butter is smooth just like the rest of the lip butters. I like to blend out this colour specifically because it can be an overwhelming colour however it will be great for spring/summer and can act as a pop of colour in an outfit.

Sweet Tart is a Luminous Coral Pink colour. This colour comes of more pink on your lips than it does coral but it still does have a coral colour to it on your lips. Unlike Lollipop and Cotton Candy, Sweet Tart has no shimmer/glitter. It can also be blended however i prefer the colour not blended out because it isn't as bright as lollipop and it looks more casual.

Cotton Candy is the palest colour of the three i have bought and the most natural colour. It is a sweet and pale pink which has a shimmer to it however it reminds me of Mac's Snob because they both have a blue undertone . I wear this without blending it out because it isn't as bright as both Lollipop or Sweet Tart.

Overall i do enjoy wearing these lip products and would defiantley repurchase them. However they do not last for that long but because i love the textures and range of colours i look forward to be buying more. So i recommend you try them out because they are moisturising and pigmented. Have a great day, Toodle Pip! :D
